As an ambrotypist, I strive to stay as true to 19th century techniques as possible in order to bring back to view this amazing trade. Sitting to have ones "image struck" in the 19th century was an important affair and when you sit for a portrait today, you can experience first-hand, the same excitement of seeing your likeness in a truly unique medium.
